Short company description:
I’m a one-woman, multi-business brand: Fran Pitre
My blog website franpitre.com provides information, advice and resources for parents of multiples based on the experience of a mother of three sets of twins in each possible twin combination. I also promote my book entitled “TWINS x3” primarily from this site, in addition to its direct sales site, www.twinsx3.com/ .
My music website franpitresings.com invites visitors to listen to the original music from my two original albums, as well as to all recent singles. The site also invites visitors to learn of the upcoming schedule for my band named Fran Pitre & Class Act which performs throughout the Jacksonville and surrounding areas. I am the band’s front woman and lead vocalist. I also manage, book and promote our band’s performance engagements. I arrange and schedule rehearsals, and I am responsible for managing my musicians positions for each performance, which includes securing the occasional substitute musician. I also create song set lists appropriate for each performance’s audience.
My book “TWINS x3” was written and released in 2009, and is the roller coaster story of our family from my the perspective as a mom. In early 2020, I released the updated “TWINS x3: 10 Year Anniversary Edition” in which I fill my readers in on what’s happened since the book’s first release. This 2nd edition includes my re-entry into professional music after putting that profession on the back burner while I was expecting our first set of twins. Currently, the audiobook version of “TWINS x3” is in production, and is scheduled for release in late 2023 or early 2024.
Both of my websites link to each other for my followers to enjoy my music, my blog and my book.
My day job is my 25+ year graphic design business that I work from my home office from which I provide design services for local business clients on a regular basis.
I’m the mother of six kids, but my twins sets are now 28, 23 and 15.
How do you define success?
I define success as knowing that what I’ve contributed or produced has helped someone who needed something, whether that is to be comforted, assured, encouraged, entertained, educated or inspired. Success is having the peace in knowing that I’m doing and living what I believe I was meant to be, and to glorify God with my life.
If you could be remembered for one thing, what would it be?
I’m honored to have been chosen to be the wife of Bruce, the mother of 6 incredibly unique and amazing people, and maybe also as the creator of some uplifting, unique and inspirational music that will hopefully increase or solidify one or two listener’s faith in God.
How has your business changed in the past 12 months?
I’ll interpret this question as: What goals have been accomplished over the last 12 months?
The last year has been full of amazing opportunities and productivity.
My band Class Act played consistently in several venues to fully-filled rooms over this past year. It is currently booked out to the end of this year, and our fan base and followers continue to grow. Performing with Class Act is incredibly fulfilling as we enthusiastically and skillfully entertain our audiences. I have the honor and privilege of performing with incredibly talented local musicians and as our audiences sing along and dance to our music, we are continually assured that we’re providing a very valuable service. It’s a technically challenging job while it is also a LOT of fun. This past November, I was so happy to produce and host a ticketed benefit concert called “Nice to Meet You” which primarily featured our original music, the musicians who recorded on our albums, and which provided proceeds that went to two local worthy causes.
Last spring my 2nd album was nominated for the “2022 Pop Album of the Year” with the JMA (Josie Music Assoc) Music Awards for Independent Music Artists in Nashville, TN. One of my singles also received a nomination for “2022 Pop Song of the Year”. Although I didn’t win an award, attending the JMA Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in October with my husband, and walking the red carpet among so many talented nominees was an absolute honor and incredible experience.
Album #3 is well underway. We have 5 out of 10 tracks completed. I’ll submit each of those singles to the JMA this April for nomination consideration.
The “TWINS x3” audiobook project is in its final editing phase. I’ve completed the reading of each chapter in a recording studio, and rough edits have been done. My music collaborator/co-writer/co-producer has created a fabulous opening overture for the book, and chapter intro music, all of which are instrumentals of our original songs, as they are part of the book’s story.
Fran Pitre Graphic Design has provided website management, online newsletter content creation, product information and social media post design services for my clients.
And I’ve been Mom to our kids!
What are your biggest goals in the next 12 Months for your business?
In the next twelve months my goals are to complete our current album, then release and begin to promote it. I hope to be able to kick off the promotion with an album launch party as we had done for our first album completed in 2018, but we were unable to do so in early 2021 due to the pandemic.
I’ll continue to grow Class Act’s fan base and continue our booked performance engagements around the First Coast and beyond.
The audiobook completion will be a second product to release and promote this coming year. I plan to package it as an audiobook alone as well as an audiobook/music package.
I will continue to post family updates on my blog, and I continue to tap into current topics on social media sites which I follow that are important to families today, specifically to families with multiples.
My graphic design business continues to bring in some supplemental income and helps to fund my other ventures, so I hope to keep providing design services to the companies who continue to hire my services.
And I’ll still be Mom to our kids!
