People have different ways of looking at the world and adopt their own opinions. Some are democrats; some are republicans; and some are conservatives. Some are liberals, socialist, libertarians, and some are flat-out weird. It is exhausting to keep up with the next argument, the next protest, the next controversy, and the next character accusation. Where then, do we go for answers?
This show is not about opinions but about going to a place beyond opinions as pastor and host Angle Casiano seeks to discover what God has to say on the matter, especially in a time with so many divisions, dividers, philosophical ideas, and social and cultural views. BEYOND OPINIONS is his show for the glory of God!
Angel Casiano was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 29, 1968. In 1975 his parents moved back home to their hometown of Guánica, Puerto Rico. From second grade elementary school to graduating from college, Puerto Rico gave Angel his cultural identity. In July 19, 1987 he marries his high school sweetheart Ileana. In June of 1991, Angel graduated with a Bachelor degree in Sociology with a minor in Education from the Interamerican University of San Germán, Puerto Rico. A month later, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida with his wife. Still, at that time, Angel was a man without faith or any Christian upbringing. The closest to any kind of spiritual believe was his involvement in martial arts; but that was about to change. In April 26, 1997 Angel became a born again believer in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and embraced a different culture, the culture of God’s Word. Within weeks after his radical conversion Angel started ministering God’s Word to foster care kids. Later, he became a Deacon at his local church, later an Elder, Youth Pastor, Worship Leader and Prison Ministry Director.
In the summer of 2005 he answered the call to pastor a small bilingual church in Winton, North Carolina. Six months after moving to North Carolina Angel lost his wife to cancer. The young pastor was devastated! He hanged in there as the senior pastor of the small bilingual church and as Social Worker, but two years later he returned to Jacksonville. As he was facing the darkest years of his life with a new marriage and a soon after divorced, he worked for the Jacksonville Urban League and later became a Chaplain, Counselor and Case Manager for the City Rescue Mission. A couple of years later he returned to North Carolina. In the subsequent years he saw God restoring his life. Angel remarried to his current wife of six year, Rayette and two families became one.
In the summer of 2013 Angel moved to Fairbanks, Alaska with his wife and six children for a true new beginning. While in Alaska he completed and published his first book, Hope for the Divorcee: Forgiving and moving Forward and is close to publishing his second book. Angel is the founder of Fusion Care Coordination, a business that assist the elderly and the disable connect with services. Currently, Angel pastors his own home church where he has been able to minister to his family, friends and to the Native American community. In the mix of all, Angel is working on his masters on Pastoral Counseling and is honor to see the fulfillment of a lifelong dream as the host of his own syndicated Radio Show, Beyond Opinions.
